Join Word! with Rob Gee and friends for the premier launch of ‘Everyone Needs a Disco Ball' and put the pop back into poetry!
‘Everybody Needs a Disco Ball’ is a unique collection of poems, published by WORD! Poetry and brought to you by the Comedy Asylum: a team of comedians, writers and people with mental health conditions who create and perform comedy shows.
The poems in this collection were written by groups of people in a variety of mental health settings. Those in the room contributed ideas, jokes, lines and rhymes, while resident poet, the multi-award winning, Rob Gee) composed the poem in real time. Anyone could join in, and together we created a world where anything could happen.
Get-on down to come together and get on the floor! To share your own work as part of the open mic - or - to sign up for a free ‘Everybody Needs a Disco Ball’ workshop, running 4-6pm with the amazing Rob Gee, drop a line to hello@wordpoetry.co.uk
