By continuing to use the Site, you agree that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions inform you the terms of use on which you may make use of the Site, whether as a guest or a registered user. 

By using this Site you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions, which shall take effect immediately on your first use of this Site. Use of the Site includes accessing, browsing or registering to use the Site. If you do not agree to the Terms and Conditions you are not authorised to use this Site. 

The Visit Leicester Website is comprised of various Web pages managed and operated by Leicester City Council, City Hall, 115 Charles Street, Leicester LE1 1FZ using the New Mind | tellUs Destination Management System. Leicester City Council may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time by posting changes online. Please review the Terms and Conditions regularly to ensure you are aware of any changes made.

Your use of the Site

You agree that your use of the Site shall be in accordance with the following conditions:

• you will not send any message, e-mail or other communication which under English law or the law of the country of the recipient is in breach of such law or is defamatory, menacing, obscene, indecent, abusive, harmful, pornographic or otherwise illegal or which may violate or infringe in anyway upon the rights of others, incite violence, sadism, cruelty or racial hatred or otherwise cause distress or inconvenience. You may not express opinions which are vulgar, crude, racist, sexist or otherwise offensive;
• you will not send any message, e-mail for other communication which contains material which does not belong to you without the owner's express permission.

Privacy and Your Personal Information

Use of certain functions on the Site (e.g. requesting a brochures or tourism-related marketing materials, requesting that your event be added to the Visit Leicester calendar, subscribing to our newsletter, creating a personal itinerary) may require you to submit certain Personal Information; also, if you email us apart from these functions, we may store your emails, including your email address. For the purposes of these Terms, “Personal Information” means any information that by itself or in connection with other information we collect allow us or anyone to identify you. Personal Information includes, without limitation, first names and last names, telephone numbers, addresses, and email addresses.

Submission of your Personal Information is entirely voluntary and only required to use those particular portions of the Site that request it; we do not collect Personal Information if you are just accessing and viewing content on the Site.

Security

If you are a registered user you will have access to the "My Itinerary" by using the username and password selected by you during the user registration procedure. You are solely responsible for ensuring the security and proper use of your username and password and you shall not disclose them to an unauthorised person.

We reserve the right to suspend your username and password access to your details or disallow your use of the services if we suspect an unauthorised person is attempting to access it.

Termination/Access Restriction

Leicester City Council reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate your access to the Site and the related services or any portion thereof at any time, without notice.

Liability Disclaimer

We make every effort to ensure that the information on the Site is accurate and up-to-date. However, we cannot accept responsibility for any loss or inconvenience caused by reliance on inaccurate material contained in this Site.

The Site content, including the information, names, images, pictures, logos and icons regarding or relating to Visit Leicester, its locations, events and services (or to third party providers of products and services), is provided "AS IS" and on an "IS AVAILABLE" basis without any representations or any kind of warranty made (whether express or implied by law) to the extent permitted by law, including the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy.

Leicester City Council does not warrant that functions contained in this Site will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that this Site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs.

Event Listings

Users of Site choosing to view listings advertised within the Site agree with and accept the following:
-    Leicester City Council does not endorse, takes no responsibility and accepts no liability for the actions of individual event organisers, advertisers or proprietors or other persons listed as part of this advertising or in respect of the services or products offered by any such persons, and makes no representations in relation to any such service or product (including but not limited to its lawfulness);
-    The posting of listings on the Site does not constitute an endorsement by Leicester City Council of the listings. Leicester City Council reserves the right to refuse to post any listing at any time. In addition, Leicester City Council may suspend or discontinue some or all of this public service at any time;
