Leicester Print Workshop is a centre for printmaking.
It has a large studio that is available for artists to use on a pay-as-you-go independent basis, or they offer fully assisted support to artists who are developing their skills. The studio is home to equipment for silkscreen, stone and plate lithography, etching, engraving, relief and letterpress.
The centre has an exhibition space that hosts a changing programme of displays related to the art of printmaking and a shop stocking artist prints, greetings cards, printed gifts and textiles, books and printmaking supplies. It also runs a programme of talks, demonstrations and drop-in sessions, free half term family printmaking activites and Leicester Print Festival, which takes place every November.
New to the printmaking world? The centre also offers beginner taster classes and in-depth courses for those interested in learning a new skill.
