Coach Parking in Leicester

We are pleased to share coach parking arrangements for Leicester city centre.

Information for coach operators

There are six city centre locations available for drop off and parking, allowing your visitors quick and easy access to all attractions and amenities. Whether you are visiting for heritage, shopping or culture, there will be a stop for you.

All parking is free of charge but must be pre-booked. Simply download and fill in the form below and return to the Visit Leicester Information Centre in order for you to obtain your permit. The form can be emailed to info@visitleicester.info, or posted to Visit Leicester, 4a St Martins, Leicester, LE1 5DB

As well as confirming your parking arrangements, the team at Visit Leicester also offer a free ‘meet and greet’ service for your passengers and can assist with any enquiries about your visit.

Coach Parking Frequently asked questions

Do I need to book for drop off/pick up only?
These do not need to be pre-booked, however you may still wish to fill out the form to request additional services, such as ‘meet and greet’ and maps.

How long can I stay to drop off/pick up?
Drop off/pick up spaces are strictly limited to 30 minutes maximum stay. You may be issued with a penalty notice if you stay longer. 

Do I need to book for parking?
All parking spaces must be pre-booked at least two weeks in advance. Please complete the
coach permit application form and return to Visit Leicester.

How will I get my permit?
Once your booking has been confirmed your permit and any additional information can be emailed or posted on request. 

How long can I stay for parking?
The spaces are available 24 hours a day. There isn’t a set criteria for length of stay. All requests will be considered subject to demand and availability. In order to help the team, please fill out your requirements in as much detail as possible on the coach permit application form.

Do I need to pay?
All coach drop offs/pick-ups and parking arrangements are free of charge.

Causeway Lane, Southgates, and Charles Street North have dedicated set down/pick up points. Charles Street South offer parking, whilst Queen St offers both.

We have provided dimensions of each space and postcodes of adjacent building to try to aid SatNav directions. Please check postcodes as these may not be correct for all devices.

What does ‘the meet and greet’ service provide?
A Visit Leicester team member will meet your coach, provide a quick overview of the city and hand out maps and relevant guides. They will be able to direct your passengers to their required destinations and provide up to date information on events and attractions in the city. Please note: this is a short welcome (approx. 5 minutes). If you prefer, information can be sent out prior to your visit to maximise your time in the city.
