As part of this year’s Old Town Festival, step back in time and take part in our hands-on workshops to construct a Roman forum - just like the ancient builders did.
No experience needed - just enthusiasm and passion! Come with friends, family, colleagues, or on your own - it's a fantastic team-building experience. Led by Internationally renowned artist Olivier Grossetête who specialises in large-scale constructions using only cardboard and tape. His projects bring people together to create monumental structures that blend history, art, and community spirit. Now, it’s your chance to be part of his latest creation.
How It Works:
Pre-Construction Workshops: Create key building elements—arches, balconies, roofs, and more. Learn techniques and share the experience.
Drop-in sessions: Monday 21 – Friday 25 April at 10am – 1pm and 2pm – 5pm
Construction Day: Saturday 26 April on Jubilee Square - Just turn up and help assemble the structure together, lift it higher, and witness the power of teamwork.
De-Construction: Sunday 27 April on Jubilee Square - Join in the fun of taking it down - stomping, jumping, and celebrating our collective achievement!
