About

Proms in the Park 2025

This evening concert will feature a local orchestra. Gates open at 5pm with the concert to begin at 6pm and finish 8.30pm. You are welcome to bring your own picnic and drinks, and we would encourage any alcohol to be drank responsibly. The event is free to attend, and no booking is necessary, however, capacity is limited in the auditorium area and will be on a first come, first served basis. Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead, please pick up after your dog. Please queue to enter the auditorium from the gate entrance on Hollycroft just before Westray Drive, entry into the auditorium area is not possible from other points. The park car park will only be available for Blue Badge holders and a member of staff will be positioned on the gate, spaces are limited. We recommend that people use public transport or walk to the event where possible. If you are driving, please park in town centre car parks and walk to the event, rather than using residential on-street parking. There will be temporary no-waiting or loading restrictions in place on Westray drive from 3pm on the day of the event. Union flags will be handed out at the event which are made from sustainable forestry. Flags can be taken home and are 100% recyclable or biodegradable. However, if you would like to return your flag/s so we can re-use them, please hand to a member of staff on leaving. We politely ask you to take any litter away with you or dispose of in an appropriate bin. There will be portable toilets and handwashing facilities on site and the toilets at the pavilion will be open for the evening too.
