NSDF25: Making It!
NSDF 2025 will be the ultimate place to be for ALL theatre makers aged 16-26 to meet, create and collaborate.
From Tuesday 22 – Saturday 26 April the festival will be jam-packed with industry masterclasses, insightful workshops, mentoring, networking, epic performances and the space to create. This year it’s a week to make it. And by the end of it you’ll be equipped with all the tools, the people and the know-how to make your own work and, with it, your own career.
All culminating in producing, developing, performing in or creating on your own showcase on the final night.
Artist Participant
Across the week you will work with world class practitioners to develop your craft. You will meet new people and work together to develop a brand-new piece of work (in progress) in a week. You will learn from our associates, each other and invited guests to further your development into the industry. Throughout the week you will have the opportunity to work with world class, industry experts who will share how they made it happen in their own careers, through workshops, masterclasses and panel discussions on their own practice and area of expertise.
Technical Participant
For those of you interested in technical theatre and production, you will get to work with our amazing technical team to develop your skills by learning on the job and taking part in workshops from brilliant technical facilitators. You will bring your development and expertise to the final production as well as all of the performances along the way.
The Week
Days will run from 10am – 6pm with evening activities and performances throughout the week. You will spend the mornings taking part in the skills workshops and masterclasses from leading UK Theatre practitioners all geared towards giving you the tools to make it: your own work and your own careers, and the afternoons will be dedicated to creating. Developing and producing new work to showcase in a phenomenal theatre… finishing the festival having made it and with the new friends, collaborators and skills to go on to keep on making it!
Our industry associates and full programme are soon to be announced – keep your eyes peeled.
