HOLST The Planets
Gustav Holst’s monumental orchestral suite, The Planets provides an appropriate conclusion to the Bardi’s 2024/25 New Horizons concert season with its stellar portrayal of our solar system.
The fourth of this season’s guest conductors is Tom Fetherstonhaugh, Assistant Conductor of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Tom is also Artistic Director and Founder of the Fantasia Orchestra with whom he will be appearing in two concerts at the 2024 BBC Proms.
The first half features Tchaikovsky’s revered Violin Concerto. With its tuneful melodies and virtuosic solo, the concerto is an audience favourite. A season finale not to be missed!
