Last year for a week in October, restaurants, cafes and eateries across the city opened their doors and offered some amazing deals on a huge range of fantastic meals. This year it’s back, and better than ever! This year Leicester Restaurant Week is taking place from Monday 17 to Sunday 23 October and will shine a spotlight on some of the best restaurants in the city.
Participating restaurants will be showcasing specially selected menus, getting creative or offering something new and exclusive to customers. This year’s line-up of restarants has just been announced, and alongside organisers BID Leicester we’re delighted to announce the venues that have signed up for this year’s event and the mouth watering menus they will be putting on the table!
This year will be bigger and better than last year, with 33 venues already signed up and more than 50 offers up for grabs! Prices start from as little as £5 for coffee and cake, all the way up to £30 for dinner for two! With the cost of living being a real and present concern, this is your chance to eat out in style on a budget and maybe try something you never have before!
New deals and offers this year
Black Iron Social in the Gresham wasn’t quite open for last year’s event, but this year they’re offering and 2 or 3 course menu for £20 and £25! And the newest venue to open in St Martin’s Square, The Frame is giving you a chance to sample their menu with a tasting experience that costs just £15!
Finding it hard to choose?
Then head along to one of the restaurants who are offering a fuller choice from their menus.
Chutney Ivy is one of the best Indian restaurants in the city and for just £20, you can sample a range of their dishes with a taster menu.
Pubs including the Queen of Bradgate, The Globe and Knight and Garter are giving you the chance to choose from some great dishes on 2 and 3 course menus, or you can travel the world on your plate at restaurants including Pho, Giggling Squid, Middleton’s, 1573, Herb and Kayal.
Restaurant Week exclusive dishes
As befits such a special occasion, some of our eateries are going all out with special offers on exclusive dishes that will only be available this week including the Rutland Fried Chicken, Chicken Parm Burger and Philly Cheese Steak Poutine at The Rutland & Derby. You can also chow down on gourmet Hot Dogs from Crafty Burger or get 20% off wonderful organic wine to go with a new evening menu at the vegan café, Prana.
Perfect timing for half term
Restaurant Week coincides with half term in Leicester and it’s the perfect time to take the kids out for a great treat. There are some fantastic offers for families, including a family pizza feast at Dough WHAT for just £20, a family afternoon tea at Five Fox Lane (also £20) and a special offer at Revolution for kids to ear for just £1 per paying adult!
And if you’re looking for a quick brunch or lunchtime meal, then offers from &Kith, Orso, Just So Italian and Esquires starting from just £10.
We can only tell you about a small portion of the deals, so get the full menu on the Leicester Restaurant Week website and keep an eye out for more offers to be added in the build-up!
