The year is 1709 and Belgrave Hall is owned by the Cradock Family. Queen Anne is on the throne. Britain is experiencing the 'Great Frost', crops have withered, and people have frozen to death in their homes.

The year is 1847 and Belgrave Hall is owned by the Ellis Family. Queen Victoria is on the throne. Britain faces a commercial and banking crisis. The 1840s railway industrial boom is nearing its end.

Especially for Heritage Open Days, Belgrave Hall's tour guides will explore the hall whilst focusing upon the key dates of 1709 and 1847. The tour will look at two of the most important families in the history of Belgrave Hall and will place that importance within the context of national and world events.
