Remember when BritPop ruled the airwaves, and a proper night out meant good tunes, cheap drinks, and dancing like no one was watching? It's all coming back to De Montfort Students' Union and it's open to everyone! And this time it's without the late finish and next-day regret.
Sunlight Disco is Leicester's daytime disco for the over-30s - because you still love a dance, but you’ve got no time for that 2am nonsense. The disco is taking over Lvl1 @DSU for a night of pure nostalgia, packed with BritPop and Motown classics that’ll take you right back. Expect Oasis, Blur, Pulp, The Verve, and plenty more.
To make it even better, there's a live sax performance by James Absalom - because nothing beats that soulful, real-instrument energy cutting through a classic tune.
✅ Tunes You Actually Want to Hear
✅ Live Saxophone Magic
✅ Retro-Priced Drinks
✅ Starts at 5pm for a 10pm finish
✅ A Crowd That Gets It
So if you’re over 30, still love a proper Leicester night out, and want to lose yourself in the music without losing the whole next day, Sunlight Disco is for you.
Dust off your best dance moves, and get yourself to Lvl1 @ DSU. See you on the dancefloor.
