Create your own wonderfully textured piece of wall art in this beginner's punch needle class.
Not only will you learn a new skill, you’ll also enjoy the wellbeing elements of this incredibly therapeutic and rhythmic craft. No experience is necessary as tutor Caroline will take you through each step of the process, from threading the needle, punching your stitches and finishing a piece you’ll be proud to display. There’ll be plenty of patterns to choose from, or if you’re feeling inspired, come with your own ideas!
You will learn the basics of punch needle using chunky yarn and a large punch needle, and take home a unique 4” piece of hoop art. Caroline will demonstrate the process step by step including how to thread the needle, make looped and flat stitches, transfer a design, tidy the stitches and stretch and glue the finished piece.
All materials will be provided.
This 3-hour workshop will start at 10:30am and end at 1:30pm. Our café will be open or you are welcome to bring your own refreshments.
