Independent life drawing is just that – we provide the studio, the model and the easel so you can book dates week by week, when it suits you, to practice your life drawing in a supportive environment.
Please note only newsprint is provided - you must bring all your own drawing materials, papers etc.
There is no formal tutor, but with support and ideas from other group members you will pick up new skills and techniques, through quick sketches and longer poses. These sessions are perfect for beginners, intermediates and those looking to get more drawing in their lives.
Jeremy Webster, Deputy Director of Attenborough Arts Centre, usually attends the sessions to set the poses. He has practised art for over 30 years and his passion for drawing and painting is contagious!
