Stapleford Park

Book your room in a luxury hotel which includes spa and restaurant in a Grade 1 listed mansion in the beautiful Leicestershire countryside.

Stapleford Park Country House Hotel is located in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside. Surrounded by 500 acres of stunning parkland, this Grade I listed mansion bears the imprint of architectural styles, from Tudor to Victorian and where tradition meets the best of the 21st century.

We have some of the finest, authentically historic rooms to host a special occasion. Each meeting room is flooded with natural daylight, with friendly and attentive staff on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly. Their unique, discreet setting and central location, close to East Midlands Airport, provides the perfect venue to host business meetings, away-days, and private client entertaining.

Our Spa is in two distinct areas; within the 1899 Baroque Revival Stable Block, an impressive building which is modelled on those at Buckingham Palace and our Lifestyle Club with our newly refurbished lounge and treatment rooms.

Just a short stroll through the Rose Gardens and you will arrive at the impressive Main House, where our indoor pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi are located.

 • Uncover the story - A hotel stay should always come with pampering included, and Stapleford Park offers luxury on a grand scale, with guests experiencing the opulence its residents enjoyed for centuries.
From the Sherard family, who called the estate home for nearly 500 years and became Earls of Harborough, to the Barons Gretton, a title bestowed upon John Gretton in 1944, this Grade I listed country house has always attracted an upmarket crowd.
As time passed and the house was reshaped by Jacobean and Victorian architectural styles, it not only welcomed members of the Royal Family including George VI and Edward VIII, but, as a hotel, pop royalty and movie legends. Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Raquel Welch and Faye Dunaway have all witnessed its splendour.
During your stay, you too can enjoy the finer things in life. Luxury rooms feature classic British flourishes by Mulberry and Wedgwood, and 2 AA Rosette restaurant The Grinling Gibbons displays carvings by this legendary craftsman. Afternoon Tea is served in the sumptuous Drawing Room, and the elegant spa is set within Victorian stables modelled on those at Buckingham Palace.
Outside, wander 500 spectacular acres of grounds shaped by Capability Brown, one of the greatest names in English landscape gardening, and peek inside the 18th century St Mary Magdalene Church, where former England striker Peter Crouch tied the knot.
Twice a year, in summer, visitors can ride the Stapleford Miniature Railway. This Gretton family legacy hit TV screens in 1965 with Emma Peel tied to the tracks and rescued by English Gentleman spy John Steed in an episode of cult show ‘The Avengers’.
No experience as lord or lady of the manor is complete without a traditional country pursuit or two. With falconry, clay pigeon shooting, archery and croquet just some of the activities available, Stapleford Park is at your service.
