Brockleby’s Pies: Pie Making Experience

Visit the multi-award-winning Brockleby’s bakery in Melton Mowbray, the Rural Capital of Food, and hand-make a pork pie to bake at home.

The Melton Mowbray Pork Pie is famous all over the work and this special experience gives you the chance to learn how to hand raise your very own pork pie and then take it home to eat!

Take a tour of the bakery with a talk on the history of the world-famous Melton Mowbray pork pies for inspiration. Ultimate Experiences include a full three-hour workshop with a ploughman’s lunch or afternoon tea.

Your pie making experience will begin when you meet one of the company’s bakers who will guide you in how to “hand raise” a pork pie using traditional equipment.

Those opting for the Ultimate Pie Making Experience will enjoy a full three-hour workshop, which will include making your own pastry and gelatine, after which you’ll be rewarded with a delicious ploughman’s lunch or afternoon tea.

Prices start from £30, groups are very welcome, and the experience can be designed to suit all ages and abilities.
