The Gruffalo’s Child comes to Twycross!

Step into the deep dark wood at Twycross Zoo this Christmas at Gruffalo Discovery Land. From 16 November to 24 December the Gruffalo’s Child will be coming to Twycross! Follow a snowy trail and explore the deep dark wood with real animal encounters and a chance to meet the Gruffalo and Gruffalo’s Child! There’s also a magical Santa Show and free Gruffalo gift for every child!


The Magic of Christmas at Twinlakes

This winter Twinlakes Park will be transformed into a glittering Winter Wonderland. The park will be covered in twinkling lights and illuminated displays that create the most magical atmosphere, especially once it starts to get dark! Get involved in all the festive fun with gingerbread decorating, Christmas entertainment, workshops, real reindeer, and all the Christmas cheer you can handle.


Christmas at Belvoir Castle

If there’s one place that always does Christmas right it’s Belvoir Castle, and this year at the Belvoir Castle Retail Village, there’s loads on offer. Step into a world of twinkling lights and seasonal charm as you discover hand-crafted gifts from local artisans. Enjoy a Breakfast with Father Christmas, or visit Santa’s Grotto with the children. Little ones can also explore the magical Christmas Trail in the Adventure Playground. Once you’re done, indulge in a Festive Afternoon Tea at the Belvoir Bistro, open 7 days a week.


The Great Central Railway Santa Express

What could be more magical than meeting Santa on a traditional steam train puffing its way through the Leicestershire countryside? Relax with a mince pie and drink as the man himself makes his way along the train and brings you and your children a perfect festive experience.

Snow White and Dickens at Loughborough Town Hall

Mirror Mirror on the wall, it’s time for the fairest panto of them all! Snow White is ready to take her rightful place on the throne but the wicked queen is a bit of a bad apple who’s rotten to the core and has got other ideas. Running from Saturday 23 November to Sunday 5 January. On Sunday 8 and Monday 9 December, the Dickens classic A Christmas Carol comes to stage with a brilliantly performed reading that will pull you into the Victorian atmosphere and help bring to life the tale of Ebeneezer Scrooge.


Conkers Winter Wonderland

Right in the heart of the National Forest, wrap up warm as Conkers is transformed into a Waterside Winter Wonderland. Get ready for your Elf adventure as you travel through the Enchanted Forest and the Valley of Christmas Lights to discover Santa’s Woodland Grotto. Bring the kid for a magical adventure, and at the end they will be able to tell Santa how good they’ve been, and get some pre-Christmas presents!


Christmas at the 1620s House

The 1620s House is a former country manor and they always go all-out for Christmas, with this year being no exception. Experience a very traditional English atmosphere with Festive Afternoon Tea, Wreath Making sessions, a Lute Concert, Candlelit Carolling, and a very special Christmas at the Manor event.
