On Monday 22 July at Mattioli Woods Leicester, the nominations for the Leicestershire Curry Awards 2024 were revealed. The awards were attended by the cream of Leicestershire’s curry scene, from restaurants to caterers to Desi Pubs and takeaways. Voted for by the general public, this year marks the seventh annual Leicestershire curry awards, which have been run since 2016 by Romail Gulzar.
Announcing the nominee at the event were the sponsors of this years event, who included John Lewis and Partners, PPL PRS, Cobra Beer, Kings Real Estate, BBC Radio Leicester Mattioli Woods and the University of Leicester. Visit Leicester were also in attendance and gave a short speech on our involvement with the Curry Capital.
We are delighted to be working with Romail and the Curry Awards, following the recent announcement of Leicester becoming the England Curry Capital 2024, which we supported through our Taste the Place campaign. The sheer diversity and quality of Indian restaurants in the city is what brought that accolade to Leicester and it was on full display at this event.
So without further ado, here are the nominees for the Leicestershire Curry Awards 2024. The awards ceremony will be held at the Athena Leicester on Monday 23 September 2024 in a spectacular red carpet event which includes reception drinks, a three-course dinner and live entertainment.
