There’s a real summer of festival fun in Leicester and Leicestershire in 2024. Coming up over the next few months, there are festivals for lovers of rock, classical, opera and electronic music, food and drink, beer, medieval history, the great outdoors and many more.

Nevill Holt Festival
1-26 June 2024
Welcoming a lineup of internationally renowned artists to Leicestershire for this brand new Festival. Leicestershire’s answer to the Hay Festival is packed with opera performances, classical music, theatre, art, jazz and contemporary music, alongside conversations with leading novelists, historians, broadcasters and artists.

14-16 June 2024
Download Festival is the home of rock and takes place on the sacred grounds of Donington Park, which has been the home of rock and metal since the '80s. This year's event attracted giants of rock and metal like Queens of the Stone Age, Pantera, Avenged Sevenfold and many more, plus some of the hottest new acts on the scene.

Cosby Yarn Bomb 2024
10-31 July 2024
Cosby's annual summer yarn bomb event is celebrating its sixth year with an uplifting outdoor trail of over 50 textile art installations created by the community around the theme of 'Fun and Games, Mischief and Mayhem'.

Leicester Food Festival
10-11 August 2024
Set to be the biggest food event of the year, the Leicester Food Festival will be making its debut at Abbey Park this August, creating a paradise for food and drink lovers.

Bosworth Medieval Festival 2024
17-18 August 2024
This two-day event attracts thousands of visitors, re-enactors and traders from across the UK featuring battle re-enactments by the combined forces of the Wars of the Roses Federation, including The Battle of Bosworth as the finale on both days.
