Art and Crime Collective, Happy Hearse Touring and Firejam proudly present...
Two fast rising stars of the American folk punk scene, and a band at the forefront of the folk punk boom happening in the UK.
The Last Arizona
Melodic and lyrical emo-inflected folk punk from Lancaster, PA, a hotbed of folk punk that also gave the emergence of Apes of the State and Local News Legend. The project of Emma Blair, she has toured extensively playing with bands such as Pigeon Pit, Crywank, and Sister Wife Sex Strike, as well as working hard to support her scene both locally and nationally. She’s also a massive fan of Tottenham Hotspur, but hopefully you won’t hold that against her.
June Henry
June Henry is a twenty-year-old freak folk singer-songwriter from Lawrence, Kansas. Known best for her minute-long voice memo “void-adjacent”, she has released a concerning number of bedroom recordings documenting her life as a limerence-ridden, lycanthropy-obsessed boygirl since 2019.
Prior to official releases, Henry’s music resided in a Google drive folder shared with a small group of friends. In early 2022, while she was bedridden with the flu and souped up on NyQuil, these friends convinced her to make some of these songs easier to access. Henry’s first official album, Class Pet, was released to the public on March 15, 2022.
Since then, it has been rare for Henry to go longer than four months without a release. Those close to her know that it is also rare for her to go longer than a day without writing a song. When asked about her songwriting process, she always answers the same way: “It’s not really something I know how to do so much as something I have to do to keep myself from exploding.”
Cheap Dirty Horse
Cheap Dirty Horse are a 6-piece queer-trash folk-punk band from Nottingham, UK. There are usually six of them and they are horses. They have a banjo, an acoustic guitar and an accordion, but also an electric guitar, a bass, and a drum kit. They write songs about stealing things, trans rights, and octopuses. Their friend Cloughster once said, ‘I may have never got to see Bomb the Music Industry! live, but at least I got to see Cheap Dirty Horse.’ This is actually true but if it wasn’t they still would’ve put it in this bio.
Sunny Side Down
A queer band who make indie-emo-pop for people who stop to pet cats on the street!! You can expect punchy basslines and journal-style lyrics that balance weighty melancholy with hopefulness.
