The Jolly Shepherd

About

The Jolly Shepherd

A festive feast of new Christmas favourites including John Rutter’s 2019 carol, written for the National Youth Choir of Great Britain The Jolly Shepherd, Iain Farrington’s 2022 commission Nova Nova, for that year’s Advent Carol Service from St John’s College in Cambridge, Mack Wilberg and Peter Steven’s take on Ding dong merrily on high from Christmas Eve at King’s in 2007 and Errolyn Wallen’s peerless Peace on earth, performed at the same carol service in 2022. We will also include music by Welsh composer Tamsin Jones, Richard Lloyd and others, whilst asking you to raise your own voices alongside ours in some congregational numbers. Let’s celebrate the season together with humour and in good number!
