When my mums battle with dementia ended I wanted to contribute something to the fight against it, so I wrote a one man play about the seven stages of her cognitive decline. It’s called Dementia Street. As someone who has personally experienced the impact of dementia, I understand the challenges families face in caring for their loved one. But I also know that even in the face of this condition, there are moments of love, humour, and happiness that can be celebrated, reminding us that even in the face of adversity, love and hope can prevail. “Thank you for giving me permission to laugh” (Anne)
