About

Charity Comedy Night

Funhouse Comedy presents a Charity Night of Laughter in aid of Brain Tumour Research, at The Lyric Rooms, Ashby-de-la-Zouch on Friday February 28th.
Topping the bill will be producer, director, writer and comic Bennett Arron. The only Jewish/Welsh comedian on the circuit he has supported Ricky Gervais on tour. Also a trained actor he takes command of the stage and his humour veers between obsessed anxiety and natural occurrences, with his contagious laugh he lights up any room.
Opening the night is Irish comedian Martin Mor. Starting out as a circus entertainer he then decided to turn to stand-up. Having supported Frankie Boyle, Jack Dee, Lee Evans, Jasper Carrott, Patrick Kielty, Johnny Vegas, Steve Coogan, and once Tina Turner on Tour he is one of the most popular and well-travelled comics on the circuit. His fiery insults often directed at audience members, are accepted with laughter when delivered by this gentle giant of a man.
Also appearing will be the effortlessly engaging Dominic Woodward, telling hilarious stories about his everyday life and bringing to life the quirky people he meets. His insightful humorous observations and sharp material are delivered with a somewhat relaxed air.
Compere for the night is the warm and welcoming Spiky Mike.
