Is there anything more romantic than watching a movie under the stars? Well, this is the next best thing (because no one wants to be out on a February evening!). The National Space Centre are hosting a special screening of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope in the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium.
Relax under the twinkling lights of the Planetarium and watch as Luke Skywalker joins forces with a Jedi Knight, a cocky pilot, a Wookiee and two droids to save the galaxy from the Empire’s world-destroying battle station, while also attempting to rescue Princess Leia from the mysterious Darth Vader.

Stylish new restaurant Black Iron Social opened its doors in November last year and if you’ve not got round to visiting yet their Valentines 5 course menu is surely a reason to go!
Set within The Gresham Hotel, Black Iron Social is a relaxed yet elegant addition to the city’s thriving restaurant scene, with menus that are designed to be fun and enjoyable, using classical and exotic flavour combinations to create an interesting and diverse menu that caters for all.
Their 5 course V-Day offering has a meat eaters’ version with a sharing Chateaubriand as the centrepiece, with cured salmon, pork belly, scallops and strawberry mousse also featuring. There is also a vegan and gluten free menu available, with watermelon tartare, bubble and squeak croquettes, katsu celeriac, miso glazed aubergine and roasted pineapple on offer.
Both options include a drink on arrival, so if the way to a person’s heart is through their stomach, then this will surely do it!
