Relax, take your time to explore and experience the wonderful countryside on an award winning walking and E-Bike holiday. Holidays are self-guided, leaving you free to journey at your own pace, in your own private group – or you can even enjoy a solo walking or E-Bike cycling holiday. There's no need to rush. Enjoy the journey, stop when you want, meet the locals, sample the local woodland cafes along the way.
They take care of all the details, leaving you free to explore. You'll be staying in the best accommodation available, from luxurious B&Bs to fabulous inns and hotels. They'll move your luggage daily between accommodation, whilst you follow a detailed route plan taking you through the countryside.
The National Forest area of Leicestershire is full of things to see and do. Visit the historic 1620's House and learn more about the medicinal garden. Experience the countryside from another angle, with a ride on one of two heritage steam railway lines. Admire the view from Hasting Tower at the ruined Ashby Castle, which was mentioned in the novel Ivanhoe. Step in the footsteps of Robert and George Stephenson as you explore the heritage of some of the world's oldest railways and steam powered mines. Discover the story of King Richard III and the Battle of Bosworth. Enjoy watching the artisan crafts people at work at Staunton Harold and perhaps be inspired to join a crafts workshop in the National Forest. Cool off at the only Lido in Leicestershire – or even wild swim in the River Soar.
The countryside is equally varied. Delight in electric power to get you to the top of the hills in craggy Charnwood. Walk and cycle along peaceful canal towpaths. Listen to the birdsong as you journey along woodland tracks and ancient green lanes.
