Right on the edge of the Cultural Quarter is HQ Recording, an award winning grassroots music production facility. They provide a relaxed, creative high quality studio environment across two rooms, with the latest in cutting edge digital software and hardware. 

Many of our top cultural producers are based in the area, thanks to spaces such as LCB Depot and Phoenix Square - an important hub for creative tech businesses, offering 30 workspace studios across 3 floors. The Big Difference Company run the Leicester Comedy Festival, the biggest comedy festival in Europe, which welcomes the top stars of stand up. Inspirate are responsible for An Indian Summer Festival which brings a flavour of South Asia to the Cultural Quarter every summer, and ArtReach, who are the creative minds behind the Journeys Festival International, Light Up Leicester and Re/Thread. 

The Cultural Quarter is a hub for creative businesses, including established design agencies like Arch Creative, Some Bright Spark, Mojo, ImageNova, OnPoynt and Effect Digital. The national headquarters of music licensing company PPL PRS also calls the former Leicester Mercury Building home, solidifying the area’s connection to the creative industries and a range of young and inspiring businesses work from the offices at Colton Square, including the HQ of Octopus Energy.
