Epicentre of the 1607 Enclosures Riot, Cotesbach Estate is steeped in the history of the land, and private home to nine generations of one family since Georgian times.

Enjoy a guided group walking tour of the grounds to  discover how the natural environment, buildings, artefacts and voices from the Archive blend into a unique and fascinating heritage, subject since ever to the forces of rapid change. Scheduled tours only.

Courses, workshops and events around traditional skills are programmed throughout the year to ‘Reconnect with place and land to develop skills for the future’. The magical spaces at Cotesbach Educational Trust can also be hired for group meetings, training days and all sorts of special occasions, with add on tours, archive tasters or workshops from our programme of courses, plus catering options available.

Located next to the Stable Yard, group visitors can enjoy seasonal locally grown produce and catering choices at the Yard Café, visit the other independent businesses and soak up the atmosphere. Take part in scheduled tours, workshops, courses and events. Private group tours and experiences can be booked on request with bespoke catering available. Witness ancient documents in the very place they originated
