In fact you can have one right here in Leicester as we have the award-winning Curve which is one of the UK’s leading producing theatres, and the launch-pad for many West End productions.
But of course, you’re going to want to start with a great meal and there is no shortage of fantastic places to eat around Leicester’s Cultural Quarter. Roma Café Bar is one of Leicester’s best kept secrets, and this amazing Italian offers a pre-theatre menu. Or if you fancy something more exotic then Chutney Ivy is a contemporary Indian restaurant with a weekend basement bar and lounge.
From either of these it’s just a short walk across Orton Square to the Curve, where you can take in a top touring show, some of the top stand up comics, West End and Broadway musicals. They also make their own, with the 2022 production of Billy Elliott winning national awards! The programme is constantly changing so check their website to see what's on.
Once you’ve done with the show, you’re going to want to discuss it, so head to the nearby Manhattan34 or Exchange Bar, both of which serve an awesome range of drinks, spectacular cocktails and have a great atmosphere for you to finish your night off in style.
