We are a bar in the heart of the Cathedral Quarter in Leicester city centre, with a strong focus on cocktails and premium products across beers, wines and spirits.

The bar is situated in a listed 17th Century building and we have ensured that these beautiful features shine through.

At the heart of everything we do is hospitality, which is why we chose the pineapple for our logo as it is the international symbol for hospitality. We want consumers of all ages to feel at home and able to have fun in a safe environment.

Our cocktail menu is inspired by the world, so you will find ingredients and stories from different areas of the globe that have helped to make our signature cocktails. This stems from our name ‘the gadabout’ which is a colloquial term for a ‘habitual pleasure-seeker’, which is what we are, travelling around the world seeking pleasure through delectable libations.

 We really want to play with people’s perceptions of cocktails, for example we have a draft cocktail on the menu. This is completely hand prepared on site and then put into a keg, allowing consumers to have a fantastic cocktail in half the time

In addition, we also have a retail arm to the bar where consumers can purchase a wide array of beer, wines and spirits as well as cigars.

On the ground floor you will find a very continental feel to the bar, brown wooden furniture against a back drop off dishevelled painted walls and striking navy-blue wood panelling. Look up and you’ll see small hot air balloons floating, indicating our passion for travel and the influence it has upon the bar, the drinks and the products we use.
