Raising its curtain in 1913, De Montfort Hall has seen most of the big names of the 20th century play its stage from The Beatles to David Bowie and its 2,000-capacity auditorium continues to attract today’s most popular bands and artists. Other smaller venues such as The Shed and Firebug showcase up and coming talent  and bands just starting out. You could see the next Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys or Ellie Goulding here.   

Out in the county, world class opera can be heard in a spectacular new opera house nestled inside a stable block on the Nevill Holt estate. Regarded as one of the most uniquely intimate opera houses in the country, it stands on a hilltop surrounded by fragrant walled gardens and an outstanding collection of British art and sculpture. A few miles away, Kilworth House Hotel and Theatre not only offers luxury accommodation and fine dining in a former 19th century country house, but puts on a season of West End quality shows in their very own open-air theatre.
