Market Towns

Leicestershire’s Market Towns offer a huge variety of fantastic shops and different shopping experiences. From foodie heaven to designer shops to die for, explore the county and find out more about the great places to visit.

Blaby District is just to the south of Leicester. You can find the main town of Blaby, the quaint streets of Cosby and busy commuter towns of Enderby and Narborough.

Charnwood is home to our largest market town of Loughborough whose street market has been bringing in visitors for around 800 years! You can also find great shopping in Mountsorrel and Thurmaston.

Market Bosworth is a small but perfectly formed historic town which has won multiple Britain in Bloom competitions and has a great choice of small and independent shops.

North West Leicestershire is right in the heart of the National Forest, and you can explore its beautiful shopping towns. You’ll be spoilt for choice with the independent shops and history in Ashby de la Zouch and built on the region’s mining history, Coalville is packed with big names, independent shops and places to eat and drink.

Sure to capture your attention, The Victorian Model Workshop is perhaps its quirkiest studio. A designer of automatons, it’s one of very few workshops of this type open to the public. Set within historic walled gardens, Staunton Harold Nurseries & Garden Centre sells plants and gifts…
