Start with the 16-acre Botanic Garden packed full of rare plants, flowers and trees.  In the city centre, Castle Gardens  is a peaceful oasis, which is an ideal place to amble amongst beautiful flowerbeds and lawn, rest your feet on a bench or enjoy a picnic overlooking the Grand Union canal. Castle Gardens host the annual Leicester Riverside Festival. 

In Leicestershire the magnificent formal gardens and woodlands at Belvoir Castle are not to be missed. Enjoy the stunning vistas of the landscaping Capability Brown planned for Belvoir, on a series of walks through the gardens and grounds.
