An Afternoon of Culture and Fun

Start off on King Street at the bottom of New Walk and you can get the family a round of freshly made pizzas from Dough What. They have a huge range with options for everyone. Or choose your own pasta bowl from Makaron.

Then it’s time to take a wander up New Walk to Leicester Museum and Art Gallery. Now this really is a trip for all the family with dinosaurs, the earth gallery, Egyptian mummies, a new exhibit made up of the memories of the people of Leicester and guest galleries that change throughout the year. It’s easy to get lost in here and spend a couple of hours exploring, but you’ve got a date with a trampoline now, so time to head out and towards the train station.

Follow the ring road round towards St George’s (it’s not far to walk) and you’ll find yourself at Boost Trampoline Park, where the little ones can let off steam, and you can join in if you’re feeling up to it! After an hour of bouncing and fun then you’re going to need to refuel so why not head to one of Leicester’s many amazing dessert restaurants.

We can recommend Haute Dolci, just a short walk back down Charles Street and onto Granby Street. Coffee, waffles, pancakes, strawberries & chocolate, and of course, ice cream… their huge selection of desserts and sweet treats will be sure to raise your sugar levels.
