Loughborough is one of Britain’s top-ranked universities. Its world class research, enterprising outlook, unparalleled sporting achievement and excellent student experience give rise to something that is truly special. In recognition of its contribution to the sector, the University has been awarded seven prestigious Queen's Anniversary Prizes for Higher and Further Education.
Loughborough’s campus in the heart of Leicestershire is one of the largest in the UK, spanning 440 acres. Open spaces and landscaped gardens are interspersed with academic buildings and student accommodation, providing a first-rate environment for staff, students and visitors to the University.
Loughborough also has the country’s largest concentration of world-class sports training facilities, including the National Cricket Performance Centre, a 4,000 capacity stadium, an Olympic-sized swimming pool and an athletics centre and track.
Visitors to campus can stay in one of the University’s two hotels: four-star Burleigh Court, which has a spa and leisure club, or the three-star Link Hotel. Both offer conference and events facilities including small syndicate rooms, spacious exhibition rooms, purpose-built training spaces, large lecture theatres and classrooms.
The campus is also home to Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park, which offers an unrivalled opportunity for high-tech companies – from enterprising start-ups and the R&D arm of global brands to national sports organisations and governing bodies – to be part of the University’s dynamic innovation community. More than 60 companies, with a workforce of more the 2,000 staff, are currently based on the expanding Park.
