Canoe, Kayaking and Paddle boarding at LOPC

The Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre is located on the banks of the River Soar making it the perfect location to take to the water on a canoe, kayak or paddleboard. Explore the area from a different perspective whilst paddling in your kayak or on your paddleboard and feel much closer to nature as well as having fun taking on a new physical challenge.  

The Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre provides paddling opportunities for beginners and experienced paddlers, individuals, couples, families and groups. 

Beginners 'Paddle Sports' sessions run every Saturday morning - 10am to 11:00am and are easy to book using the online calendar .  

Following on from the Paddle Sport beginner sessions, participants can also join Go Canoeing Tours, longer trips they can do by canoe or kayak. 

In the warmer months stand-up paddleboarding is also available. 

Go Canoeing Tours include a variety of options on different weekends.  From a Pub Paddle with a pub lunch to a stand-up Paddleboard Tour, Urban Leicester Paddle past the KingPower Stadium, Space Centre and Abbey Pumping Station  or Down River Tour taking in nature, the weirs and the more rural jewels of the Leicestershire countryside.
