MIRA Technology Park’s 340 ha (840 acre) site is a global centre of excellence in transport technology. The site is a UK Enterprise Zone and has already attracted over 35 global companies to establish R&D facilities including Bosch, Lockheed Martin, Jaguar Land Rover, Toyota, Aston Martin, GKN and many more. In 2018 MIRA Technology Park won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the category of International Trade.
MIRA Technology Park is home to the MIRA Technology Institute (MTI), a £9.5m Government funded 2,276 m² (24,500 ft²) bespoke global skills centre for the automotive industry. Additionally, there are plans for a 37 ha (92 acre) extension to the Park, known as the Southern Manufacturing Sector.
HORIBA MIRA Limited provides pioneering engineering, research and test services to the automotive, defence, aerospace and rail sectors. Over 40 major test facilities, 100 km of specialised proving ground and over 70 years’ experience in developing some of the world’s most iconic vehicles, utilising the latest test facilities and simulation tools to make vehicles and journeys safer, cleaner, more efficient and rewarding.
Outline planning granted. SMS land under consideration
Planning consent has been granted for a 164,217 m² technology campus, which is directly integrated into the HORIBA MIRA R&D test facilities - the most comprehensive automotive development facilities in the UK incorporating 100km of test tracks, 40 major test laboratories and access to HORIBA MIRA’s support team.
