A new home for logistics right in the heart of Leicestershire

February 16th 2026

A fantastic opportunity for logistics businesses is set to come to market soon, in a prime location right on the outskirts of Leicester.

The Enderby Logistics Hub is a brand new development in Leicestershire and set to provide 82 acres of prime development for logistics firms. Right next to both the M1/M69 interchange and the Fosse Park shopping development, the Hub has the potential to create up to 2,500 jobs across five new logistics units.

Planning approval has been given by the local council and construction is likely to start early this year on five units ranging from 90,000 to 500,000 square feet in a spot which is connected to the whole of the country through the ‘logistics golden triangle’ of the M1/M69/M6 corridor. Completion is expected in mid-2027, so this is the ideal opportunity to get on the ground early!

Why Leicestershire? The city and county is not only at the heart of the country, but has long been at the heart of the UK’s logistics network with 38,000 employees across more than 3,800 businesses. Leicester has been ranked as one of the best places to start a business in the UK – 2nd only to London. It’s also highly cost competitive – with a saving of on average £15,500 per annum, per employee compared to London.

The region’s logistics base has grown by 57% since 2010, thanks in part to the East Midlands Airport, the busiest cargo airport in the UK, handling 440,000 tonnes of flown cargo every year. It’s no coincidence that companies including DHL and Amazon have huge distribution centres located right here in Leicestershire.

And it’s not just about the transport connections, it’s about the professional connections and highly skilled workforce available right here. Leicestershire is full of place pushing the boundaries of logistics knowledge. The Centre for Logistics Education and Research (CLEAR) at the county’s Magna Park is a unique research and training facility which aims to deliver the ‘must have’ knowledge, skills, behaviours and talent for the sector. Loughborough University’s Smart Mobility and Transportation Analytics research group addresses strategic, operational and behavioural challenges to mobility and transportation; De Montfort University has courses including Global Supply Chain Management and Air Transport Management; and several local FE colleges provide courses on transport and logistics, with apprenticeship programmes offering the ideal professional development for your employees.

The Enderby Logistics Hub is not only ideally located for transport and logistics connections, it is also ideally located for you and your employees. Right next to the major Fosse Park Shopping development and a major park and ride hub, you will have great transport connections plus fantastic local services both pre and post-work.
