Teresa Neal - Strategic Director at Oadby & Wigston Borough Council

Teresa has worked for local government for over 18 ½ years in a variety of roles.  Prior to which she worked for the Civil Service, one of her roles included working with major businesses signing them up to the government’s programmes to tackle long term unemployment.

Since January 2023 she has worked at Oadby and Wigston Borough Council in the role of Strategic Director, this involves managing a range of services including Economic Regeneration, UKSPF Projects, Partnerships and Communications and Media to name but a few. She understands the value of working with all partners including local businesses to grow the economy of the area and encouraging new businesses and companies to the area.


Adrian Thorpe - Head of The Built Environment at Oadby and Wigston Borough Council

Adrian Thorpe has worked at Oadby and Wigston Borough Council for over 20 years.

He is a professional town planner, with experience in strategic and local planning policy and development.

As well as the planning team, Adrian oversees the Economic Regeneration, Town Centre Management, Housing and Building Control services at Oadby and Wigston Borough Council.
