Jill Stevenson - Community Business, Work and Skills Service Manager at Blaby District Council
Jill has worked in local government since 2001 in a variety of different roles delivering frontline services in Probation, Community Services and currently Community, Business, Work and Skills.
She is currently delivering the Economic Development Framework, the work and skills offer for the district and supporting and growing the Voluntary and Community Sector, which includes the Youth Council.
Jill has a team of individuals: 2 Business Support Officers and 3 Work and Skills Officers, who all work to address business needs. The team operate business breakfasts, a business newsletter and job fairs to support local employer’s recruit. The team works alongside partners who can provide more specialist support and will signpost a business to receive information and guidance. The Voluntary and Community Sector work within the team can support businesses with Corporate Social Responsibility.
