Transports of Delight!

27th June
St Andrew's Church, Jarrom Street, Leicester, LE2 7DH

An eclectic programme of Lyrical Pop, Tudor madrigals, Victoriana, modes of limited transposition, Country and Western and Folk Song Arrangements - a concert to brighten your day!
Quite the most eclectic and far-reaching programme we have ever performed, ranging from Thomas Weelkes startling madrigal, Thule, the period of cosmography; through Granville Bantocks evocative realisation of William Turners famous painting on oil of The Fighting Temeraire, to The Divine Comedys wonderful late nineties pop song National Express and much, much more besides. Come and enjoy a veritable cornucopia of musical surprises, all connected with journeys (such as that of the Three Magi) and various forms of transport: planes, trains, plenty of automobiles, boats, chariots and yes, even a couple of songs about the good old British Omnibus. Hopefully a lot of fun and a chance to see Chorale in a guise you never have before almost!
