Theatre Practitioner Workshop with Lorrine Douglas
Are you interested in working with young people? Supporting them to develop their drama and performance skills, whilst working with others through the process?
This workshop will aim to give you some basic skills and an understanding of how to facilitate a session, from the check in, warm -up activities and energisers, working as an ensemble, using text, to working on their own devised dramas. Looking at the importance of setting the temperature in the room to create a safe and brave space for participants to be creatively challenged. Working from the ensemble as the focus, Lorrine hopes to share with you her vast experience as secondary teacher, youth theatre leader, freelance artist and artistic director of her own company Mixit! Arts Academy.
