The Southbury Child by Stephen Beresford

3rd November - 7th November
Market Harborough Theatre, Church Square, Market Harborough, LE16 7NB

Directed by Nadine Beasley
3rd - 7th November 26

In this dark comedy, a Devonshire priest, with a propensity for drink and a wandering eye, manages his parish with charm and occasional wilfulness. His good standing in the community is shaken when his faith compels him to take an unpopular stand over a child's funeral. As David finds himself isolated in a whirl of public opinion (involving Disney balloons) cracks in his own life become more apparent and he faces a future that could threaten everything he holds dear.

This production contains themes of child loss and racism, with some strong language.
