The Mercians

The Mercians have announced their biggest headline show to date, here at the Hall in January! They'll be playing their debut album, Author of My Own Misfortune, in full alongside fan favourites.

"Author of My Own Misfortune is the biggest moment in our band’s career. After four years of finding our sound and writing songs that felt completely honest, it finally feels like the right time to share our debut album.

The record is built around the idea that while we can’t choose what life throws at us, we can choose how we live with it. It’s not about pretending everything’s okay, it’s about making space for the difficult moments and finding hope without ignoring them.

As five very normal lads from the Midlands, this album is the result of every setback, every small win and every lesson we’ve learned along the way. More than anything, we hope these songs give people a place to escape, feel understood and remind them they’re never alone in what they’re going through."
