Summer Family Fun Day

Join us for a fun, action packed day out for all the family at the 2025 Family Summer Fun Day at Abbey Pumping Station!

Recreating the atmosphere of a village Gala Day with a wide range of stalls, vintage vehicles on display and one of the majestic beam engines in steam.

A fun family event with games to play, plenty to see, and even coal fired chips freshly made from our very own vintage chip van.

The café will also be serving light refreshments on the day.

An array of historic vehicles will be on display in the grounds including Leicester Museum’s collection of historic Fire Engines.

The Steam Locomotive Railway will be running for just 50p per ride. Pay by cash at the station or by card at reception/ café.

Enjoy performances throughout the day from the Leicester Community Concert Band and vintage fair organ, with drinks available from the outdoor cocktail and gin bar.

Please note: all children must be accompanied by an adult on the diesel driven train rides.
