Come and join an exclusive Tour of the Beam Engine in action, at Abbey Pumping Station.

A rare opportunity, to descend into the depths of the hidden workings, whilst the massive engine turns above you with the hiss and heat of real steam!

Taking you into normally inaccessible areas

Down into the deep basements.

Explore the magnificent pumps on all the different levels.

Learn spectacular stories about the site, Museum and history of the Pumping Station

Advance Booking £9 adults, s over 60 and under 16s.

On the Door £10 adults, s over 60 and under 16s

Tours will last approximately 1 hoursuitable for ages 10+. Each tour can accommodate 20 visitors.

Café for light refreshments will be available.

Not suitable for children under 10 years of age.

Since these are running engines and the tour involves going to the basement, under the running engines, there’s a possibility of droplets of water, oil or grease in the surroundings. This is beyond the control of the organisers or the operators of the engine. Please be aware of this and wear appropriate clothing.
