Share This Event The Gut-brain Connection: Nourish Your Mind, Body & Microbiome
Digest the latest research on the gut-brain axis and discover how to holistically nourish your physical and mental health. Followed by Q&A.
We all hear about gut health. But what is actually happening inside the body and why does it affect how we think, feel, and behave?
This talk breaks down the gut-brain axis: the two-way communication between the gut, brain, immune system, and hormones. It explains what the gut microbiome is, why gut bacteria matter, and how signals from the gut influence mood, focus, cravings, brain fog, and emotional regulation.
Drawing on psychoneuroimmunology, Natasha Draycott explores why gut health is linked to ADHD traits, addiction, stress, and hormonal balance and why mental health is not just a brain issue. She will also demystify the world of supplements. Are probiotics actually worth it? When do supplements help, when are they unnecessary, and why is more not always better? This is a practical, science-led explanation of why gut health sits at the centre of modern mental health and behaviour, without hype, fear, or food rules.
**Doors open at 7pm, talk starts at 7:30pm - come down early to grab a good seat!**
