Shane Embury of Napalm Death – In Conversation

15th May
Phoenix Cinema and Art Centre, 4 Midland Street, Leicester, LE1 1TG

Napalm Death's Shane Embury reflects on 40 years of noise terrorism in a special night of conversation.

Shane is the longest-serving member of Napalm Death, godfathers of grindcore and inventors of a genre that took punk/metal to new extremes. Initially a fan of the band, Shane joined in 1987 and is now a veteran of around 3000 gigs and 15 studio albums. Shane will be sharing stories from his unique life in and out of the band, reflecting on the community that has grown up around them, the political values that are central to their music - and the hair-raising stories and personal challenges that come with life on the road.

Shane will be in conversation with journalist (and biographer of Metallica) Joel McIver - and will be signing copies of his illustrated memoir 'Life? And Napalm Death', published by Rocket 88 after the show.

There will be a chance to ask your own questions.
