Room on the Broom Corn Maze
The UK’s only Room on the Broom-themed corn maze is coming to Twycross Zoo this October, marking the 25th anniversary of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s much-loved story.
Opening on 3 October, the brand-new Room on the Broom Corn Maze will feature a special 25th anniversary message within its design and invites families to journey through the story, with immersive effects, character encounters, clues and sweet-treat surprises along the way.
Meandering through the twists and turns of the corn maze, following magical clues and discovering some of the book's beloved moments, guests will have the opportunity to collect sweets; take memorable photos - including an impressive witch’s broom photo opportunity - and chance to meet the Witch herself.
Creating the perfect autumn day out for Julia Donaldson fans, visitors can also step into the story of The Gruffalo during their visit, at the UK’s only Gruffalo Discovery Land. Younger guests can discover fascinating facts about Fox, Owl and Snake through interactive sensory zones; become a Gruffalo Ranger; stroll through the goat walkthrough; slide and swing at the playpark and meet the Gruffalo himself.
Alongside exploring the Room on the Broom Corn Maze and The Gruffalo Discovery Land, visitors can enjoy a full day out, discovering the hundreds of animals that call Twycross Zoo home, including the UK’s only herd of Kordofan giraffes, Sumatran tigers, snow leopards, Eastern-black rhinos, capybaras and four great ape species – chimpanzee, gorilla, orangutan and bonobo.
What’s more, every visit helps support the conservation charity’s work caring for animals and protecting nature.
