Get ready for an extraordinary weekend as Re/action Festival bursts into the city with fresh creativity, bold ideas and playful adventures that put nature, the environment and community at the heart of the action.

We’re excited to announce the first wave of visiting performances, including the world premiere of DIRT! — a magical underground circus adventure from aerial theatre company She Said Jump, an exhilarating energy-fuelled spectacle, Accelerate, from Highly Sprung and the joyful public mischief of Mercurial Dance’s Sign Spinning. We’re also featuring young creatives from local schools and community groups who are teaming up with Kala Arts to create wonderful art work from re-used and recycled materials.

This year’s festival is packed with moments to inspire all ages. You’ll meet the giant insects of Urban Oasis, swap and share your way to a greener future at The Big Swap, and step inside The OakMobile by Talking Birds — a beautiful silver acorn where magical nature stories are waiting to be discovered. Plus, we’re proud to host the Passing It On exhibition and documentary, celebrating community resilience, sport and social change through the story of Leicester Nirvana.
