Punch Needle Embellished Tote Bag
Create your own wonderfully embellished tote bag in this half
Day beginner's punch needle embroidery class.
You will use a slim needle and
DK yarn to ‘punch’ stitches onto a tote bag to create a uniquely decorated bag that you can use straight away!
No experience or sewing skills
are required! Tutor Caroline will take you through each step of the process, from threading the needle, punching your stitches and
Finishing a piece you'll be proud to use.
Not only will you learn a new skill, you’ll also enjoy the
Wellbeing elements of this incredibly therapeutic and rhythmic craft.
There will be plenty of patterns and templates to choose from
Or if you're feeling creative, why not come with your own designs?
About the tutor:
Tutor
Caroline Colam is an experienced teacher who has been teaching punch needle for
several years. She is the author of the book ‘Punch Needle: Colouring with
Yarn’ and is an exhibiting artist.
She
Creates a wide range of fabulously Bright and colourful punch needle pieces and
is as passionate about the therapeutic process as the finished result. Caroline
is also a freelance punch needle designer/maker for Hobbycraft, writing
tutorials for the Ideas Hub on their website.

This one-day workshop will start at
10.30am and end at 3pm, including a short break for lunch. Our café will be

Participants
must be aged 12+. Under 18s must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times.

We have four blue badge parking spaces outside Attenborough Arts
Centre, plus double yellow line roadside parking very close to the building for
Blue badge holders for up to three hours if our parking spaces are occupied.
Free parking for all customers is available after
5pm on weekdays and all day at weekends in the University of Leicester car park
next door to Attenborough Arts Centre on Lancaster Road. The closest public car
park for parking at all other times is Victoria Park, 5-10 minutes walk from us
(near De Montfort Hall).
