‘Music At The Museum’ With The Leicester Community Concert Band
Join us at Abbey Pumping Station for an afternoon of live music
Bring your picnic blankets and chairs for a summer afternoon of live music in the grounds of Leicester’s historic Abbey Pumping Station.
The Leicester Community Concert Band is making a welcome return to Abbey Pumping Station after popular performances in 2025 and 2024. They will perform a varied repertoire which includes popular well-known arrangements, including music from films and shows.

There is something to suit everyone!
The band was established in 2007 and has grown to include over sixty musicians, making it one of the largest amateur wind ensembles in Leicestershire. The band has achieved success in the National Concert Band Festival and has performed joint concerts with the Band of the Grenadier Guards.

Refreshments including a paid bar will be available and visitors are welcome to bring along a picnic, any alcohol consumed must be purchased on site.
Dogs on leads are welcome in the museum grounds.
Event Parking Parking is located at the National Space Centre situated next to the museum. The Space Centre car park is on Exploration Drive, post code LE4 5NS. The walkway entrance to Abbey Pumping Station is clearly signposted next to the car park.
